BESPOKE DOUBLE-SIDED WATERPROOF DOG COAT IN GREEN LODEN FABRIC
DANDY LODEN, a trendy and timeless classic
Double-sided dog coat made to measure in forest green Loden on one side and classic Scottish tartan in shades of red, blue and green on the other. Loden is historically considered the first absolutely waterproof wool fabric. This dog dress is completed by a comfortable bellyband, which protects the abdomen from the cold and splashes of rain, closed on the side with two leather buttons: it has never been easier to make your four-legged friend wear the garment.
A versatile and reversible item of clothing for dogs that, with an eye to fashion, combines the classicism of a timeless fabric like Loden, with its peculiar waterproofness one side, to a brightly colored fabric on the other. A coat for dogs suitable for both cold and rainy autumn days and the harshest winter, and extremely quick and easy to wear, warm but light at the same time. A ‘must’ if you want a classic but trendy outfit for your dog updated with the latest trends in fashion.
This coat is customized with an application in orange moleskin embroidered in forest green under the collar which, in addition to bearing the EMMA Firenze logo, is embellished with the name of your dog in italics that you will indicate in the product sheet.
Loden is a warm and soft fabric, very resistant and long-lasting, known since the Middle Ages and originally produced by the farmers of Tyrol. It became a status symbol when it was used to make a cloak for Emperor Franz Joseph in the late 19th century. This fabric is fulled (felted) and brushed. The fulling makes it waterproof and resistant while the direction of the hair (obtained by carding) downwards makes the raindrops fall to the ground. It is produced by spinning the wool of Tyrolean and merino sheep. By extension, the fabric gave its name to the Loden coat that we all know in that forest green color that made it famous throughout the world.
