Alpacas are bred in large flocks at an altitude between 3,500 and 5,000 meters on south Peruvian, north Bolivian and north Chilean Andes. It is appreciated for its precious wool, used to weave blankets and ponchos. Alpaca’s wool is lanolin free, does not foul and hypoallergenic.
